Hi Matt,

Are you very close to the final release of v3.6 yet as I am itching to get it up and running on my site and the resellers sites aswell.

Thanks, keep up the good work guys!

I second that, have had a look at the 3.6 and all seems good, depending on how the ticket system works i may even move back away from kayako support

How about we all wait patiently for the software to be stable and ready

I totally agree. If people are so impatient that they want it now, just get the beta version.

I prefer to patiently wait longer for a stable version that is as error free as possible, thanks to those that use the beta version and report the bugs and WHMC's inhouse testing.

If that means an extra week, month, etc that's fine.

I just don't want them to be pressured into releasing it before it's ready because of impatient people, that's what the beta version is for.

I'm looking forward to the "added" security. It would be silly to release it without it being fully tested. :)

Matt, are you considering having version 3.6 externally audited?

Cheers,

Paul

PS : This is nice added feature... "Support for changing the admin folder name and defining the URL within WHMCS"

I asked last week what the expected release date is and it was deleted...

I doubt Matt is the kind of person to release software before he believes it has been tested well enough.

We have much stuff on hold until 3.6, so it is nice to have a better estimate of the release, so we can plan out our other stuff.

Judging by the expected release timeline, I don't think this is the case. Also, with so many thousands of lines of code, we could expect to see a price hike and slower upgrades if the code is externally audited, IMHO.

All conjecture on my part, mind you! :)

Totally correct. While I think most people on here are kinda tounge-in-cheek, some are genuinely impatient. For them, the answer to ''when will 3.6 Stable be released?'' is... ''when it's stable, that's when...''.

I apologize to the mods in advance, I couldn't resist.

Yup! You are safer if you change your whmcs url to something other than billing/whmcs, and make sure you remove the powered by whmcs at the bottom.

That, along with some htaccess protection on the admin folder, should leave you pretty secure.
