railto
Hi Matt, Are you very close to the final release of v3.6 yet as I am itching to get it up and running on my site and the resellers sites aswell. Thanks, keep up the good work guys! I second that, have had a look at the 3.6 and all seems good, depending on how the ticket system works i may even move back away from kayako support
JasonO
Matt has said somewhere on this forum 'Next week' which was yesterday or day before I think. It's in a feature thread I believe.

MACscr
So since that post was on saturday, did he mean this week (week starts on sundays)?
PPH
Nope, I think he meant when it's ready and almost perfect.
Brett
Perhaps if we all come here and ask when it will be released, then it will get released faster.
WHMCS Developer WHMCS Andrew Posted February 4, 2008 WHMCS Developer Share Posted February 4, 2008 Perhaps if we all come here and ask when it will be released, then it will get released faster. or.... delayed? (jk)
Gears
How about we all wait patiently for the software to be stable and ready
jas
How about we all wait patiently for the software to be stable and ready And wheres the fun in that?
PPH
I personally vote for whenever it is thoroughly tested and as close as possible to perfection.
ckh
How about we all wait patiently for the software to be stable and ready I totally agree. If people are so impatient that they want it now, just get the beta version. I prefer to patiently wait longer for a stable version that is as error free as possible, thanks to those that use the beta version and report the bugs and WHMC's inhouse testing. If that means an extra week, month, etc that's fine. I just don't want them to be pressured into releasing it before it's ready because of impatient people, that's what the beta version is for.
9DollarDomains
Totally correct. While I think most people on here are kinda tounge-in-cheek, some are genuinely impatient. For them, the answer to ''when will 3.6 Stable be released?'' is... ''when it's stable, that's when...''.
uberhost
I'd rather it be done right than done fast.

generic
please wait and test it out first. im tired of updating to the next version only to have the .1 update come out 1 week or 2 later like it always does. take the extra week, work out all the bugs, save us some time.
Iceman
I'm looking forward to the "added" security. It would be silly to release it without it being fully tested. Matt, are you considering having version 3.6 externally audited? Cheers, Paul PS : This is nice added feature... JasonO
We all like rushed software with more bugs than the previous version - resulting in more delays before a fix is done - don't we?

RPS
I asked last week what the expected release date is and it was deleted... I doubt Matt is the kind of person to release software before he believes it has been tested well enough. We have much stuff on hold until 3.6, so it is nice to have a better estimate of the release, so we can plan out our other stuff.
uberhost
Matt, are you considering having version 3.6 externally audited? Judging by the expected release timeline, I don't think this is the case. Also, with so many thousands of lines of code, we could expect to see a price hike and slower upgrades if the code is externally audited, IMHO. All conjecture on my part, mind you!

AndyW
Hackers have started work in earnest. Got a couple of signups referred by urls like --> http://www.google.cn/search?q=inurl:billing/order.php&complete=1&hl=zh-CN&newwindow=1&start=90&sa=N Hope v3.6 comes quickly, before anything serious hits.
RPS
Yup! You are safer if you change your whmcs url to something other than billing/whmcs, and make sure you remove the powered by whmcs at the bottom. That, along with some htaccess protection on the admin folder, should leave you pretty secure.
