Sampath Alakanti
Hello there, I am writing to address another issue related to the default registrant setup for newly registered domains. I have configured WHMCS to use Namecheap as the registrar, and clients are registering domains through my application. They are receiving emails from Namecheap regarding ICANN confirmation for registrants. I kindly request that you resolve this issue by sending my company's email and details as the default registrant in the API calls that are sent to Namecheap for domain registration. Please note that it is essential for my clients not to be aware that we are resellers for someone else. They should not receive any emails except from us. Best Regards, Sampath Alakanti.
WHMCS Support Manager Solution WHMCS John Posted September 25, 2023 WHMCS Support Manager Solution Share Posted September 25, 2023 Hi @Sampath Alakanti, It is desirable that the client's information is always used as the Registrant whois contact, as this ensures they are the legal owner of the domain. All registrars are obliged to send such emails to registrants. If Namecheap's emails is not suitably white-label for your needs, may I suggest one of the other domain registrar's supported by WHMCS instead: https://docs.whmcs.com/Domain_Registrars#Supported_Domain_Registrars

Namecheap takes it WAY further later on, with renewal reminders that send them to the renewal page at Namecheap (unusable, since it's not in their account), as well as including advertisements for competing services. If you're unhappy with the verification emails, you really won't like the rest of the email they send. Be a good time to research other providers.
