if-modified-since http header

Recommended Posts

I was NOT able to successfully use either method here (.htaccess or PHP): https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-enable-if-modified-since/

However, the PHP code worked with our WordPress theme (not the website in my signature). Does anybody have any ideas? No need to waste crawl budget on pages that rarely change. 😕

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know how to enable the if-modified-since http header within WHMCS? You can read more here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/large-site-managing-crawl-budget

From your link:

This is an advanced guide and is intended for:

  • Large sites (1 million+ unique pages) with content that changes moderately often (once a week)
  • Medium or larger sites (10,000+ unique pages) with very rapidly changing content (daily)

I can't imagine any WHMCS site with 1 million+ unique pages, or with just 10.000 pages changing on a daily basis...
