Is there an utility or procedure to migrate the data from the production installation to the dev install? Both installations are not the same (plugins etc) but the versions are. You will have to do the migration manually. would ImportAssist not be an option ? that said, I would (and regularly have) done what you suggest when setting up a dev - just duplicate the existing database.... you might run into issues with missing addon files on the dev (because they will be included in the db, but the files not present on the server), but as long as you're not testing things related / requiring those addons, you might get away with it. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
