CSNM-Carl
Is it possible for a client to remove or edit the credit/debit card they have on file? From what I can see it isn't possible?
bear
They can't remove it, but they can edit to false information. To remove, it requires the admin's help.
CSNM-Carl
As an admin how can I remove a clients CC info?
bear
View the client profile, look in the summary tab, down in the lower right. There is a "view/edit credit card information" link. Clicking opens a window, and in that is a choice to "clear details". That would do it.
9DollarDomains
They can't remove it... ...To remove, it requires the admin's help. How can the templates be edited to allow this??? We've just switched over to WHMCS from another solutions, and we're getting customers VERY UPSET that they are unable to blank out the credit card information themselves.
MACscr
I would never allow customer to do that. Seems like a horrible idea and just opens you to fraud. I would recommend only allowing them to do it if they submit a trouble ticket. But maybe thats just me.
9DollarDomains
I don't understand what you mean - a customer can come online and enter their own Credit Card payment information. When they no longer want to pay via Credit Card - there is no way for them to remove their Credit Card information from their own customer profile. That's strange. A customer needs to be able to choose how they want to pay for their items, and if they no longer want to pay with their credit card, they need to have the ability to remove it from our system.

While you may feel that way I have yet to enter CC info for a payment anywhere else where I was able to remove my cc info later. I could change it, but not delete it. A simple support request can get it done though. It would be nice to have the option of one time CC payments being offered without saving the info.

I could change it, but not delete it.I appreciate what you say, but with every company we purchase from, if I choose to pay with my Credit Card, I can later delete that Credit Card information myself. If I choose to switch to manual payments, or if I choose not to continue to renew the services at all - customers should be able to delete THEIR Credit Card information from THEIR profile. As a matter of fact, the 'Privacy Act' of Canada requires it by Law.
rldev
I have to agree with 9dollar here. This is a terrible setup in this respect. I just started using WHMCS and 2 clients complained today. There has to be at least one time payment option for credit cards and paypal. A lot of people do not want to store their credit cards online anymore.
