Suggestion: Customer Email Notifications

I've just noticed that after entering an order on the admin side for customer with a coupon code, the order notification email sent to them doesn't show the discount per line item and doesn't include in the summary 'you saved' or similar. Instead, they see this:

Domain Registration: Transfer
Domain: adomain.com
First Payment Amount: $8.99 USD
Recurring Amount: $12.99 USD
Registration Period: 1 Year/s

Total Due Today: $8.99 USD

Our regular transfer price is $9.99 so the customer saved $1 but it's not very clear to them that there was a savings. They'll email right after saying 'where's the coupon code'? Can these email notifications get altered a bit to do a better job of showing the amount saved, coupon applied, etc?
