Go Cardless sending same payment through multiple times resulting in account credit!!

Recommended Posts

Hi

We have just discovered an issue with go cardless module.

For reasons know only to GC they are sending mutliple notifications for the payment which is resulting in invoices being in credit and future invoices being paid by this credit!

We are going to have to go through all of the payments now however I have found two already.

The Transaction ID is the same for all the duplicate payments so why it has been allowed to go in twice by WHMCS is an issue because if I added a manual payment it would not let me add a duplicate ID!

Thanks

which version of WHMCS are you using ? if it's v7.8+, it might be an idea to report the post and get it moved to v7.8 discussions as it will stand more of a chance of being seen by Support in there... if it's a new issue, then the sooner they see it the better as v7.8.3 will be out next week.

there was a Gocardless fix posted in the thread below for v7.8.1, and is supposedly included in v7.8.2, but not sure if it relates to your issue exactly.

Hi Brian,

We are currently still on 7.7.1 due to

Had a look at the link you posted but don't think it applies as 7.8.x and descriptions don't seem relevant.

Although I would imagine the issue would still exist in 7.8.x but cannot say for sure.

I have opened a ticket also.

Thanks

  • WHMCS Support Manager

Hi @pacwebhosting

This is addressed in v7.8:

Quote

MODULE-6992 - Disregard duplicate GoCardless callbacks for Adding Payment

https://docs.whmcs.com/Changelog:WHMCS_V7.8.0_Beta_1#Modules

As you're on v7.7, please apply this hotfix until you're able to apply the update:
