shoelaced
I'm trying to customize the Client Email Address Verification email template, and I have {$client_email_verification_link} in it, but it doesn't do anything. There's no output at all in the received email. Has this tag been removed from WHMCS? It is not in the list of tags either but there's nothing in the list that would replace it. How can I provide a link for people verify their email address?
WHMCS ChrisD
Hey @shoelaced {$client_email_verification_link} is the correct variable to use in the Email Verification Template, what template do you have this added into?

I know if you try to manually send the email as a normal email, e.g not via either of the admin or client send email verification buttons, then the link isn't included in the email - it only gets included if you send via one of the buttons.
shoelaced
That was it, thanks @brian!. I sent the email from the user profile dropdown under "Send Email" instead of clicking the "Resend" button in the alert bar. How odd that it doesn't work the first way but glad to have it figured out.
Shobha Patwal
Earlier link is showing but now no link is generating using the variable {$client_email_verification_link}

brian!
have you tried disabling email verification and then enabling it again to see if that fixes it ?

brian!
have you opened the template in the source editor to see if there are any invalid characters in there ?
Shobha Patwal
It is working fine for new users who make a new fresh account, but not for old users who have changed their email id.

I don't think that there is a bug as i've tried this and it works fine for change of email addresses. i'd still be tempted to check the email template itself.... and also switch the client area to use the latest version of Six for your release, and see if the issue is being caused by the custom theme when the client changes their email address.

brian!
which version of WHMCS are you using? I can see there was a email verification fix for change of email addresses in v7.7.1 - so if yours is a version before that, then that bug might be the reason for your issue. if it's a later version than that, then i'd suggest opening a ticket with Support and letting them figure out the cause. if you get your license directly from WHMCS - https://www.whmcs.com/support/ if you get your license from a reseller / host - https://www.whmcs.com/reseller-support/
