Unable ot change cpanel password via WHMCS Admin

Hi all i am unable to change the password for cpanel account via the clients product screen in the admin area.

when you come to change the password and click on change its looks like its busy but nothing else happens after this it just gets stuck and looks busy.

I have tried other things like suspending the account (same account) to test and this is fine, its just the password change it will not do.

 

any help would be great :)

I think it maybe something to do with the strength also which @Remitur mentioned.

Enabling the log should not cause that, can you keep it enabled for a few days and see if you can capture it when the error reoccurs?

Hi  i think i will be doing then at least then when it does happen there will be something there stating what it is hopefully.

Hello @Mark Coates,

Are you familiar with using developer tools within web browsers, such as Chrome? https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/

If so, can you please use the "Change Password" module command button on a service whilst observing the response within the "Network" tab?

Please advise on the "Status Code" seen.

Hi Yes i use this often as i develop sites now and again although i have been unable to reproduce the error 😞
