Pro-rata billing

I want to pro-rate all services to the 1st of each calendar month, if I make this change will it affect current customers or will it only apply to new signups?

80% of customers have automatic payments setup so I don't want this change causing problems.

Any tips?

From a quick test I did in my dev install, enabling prorata billing and setting to 1 of day did not change existing services using that product.  As such, that setting should only be for new services, maybe upgrades, and perhaps when doing auto recalculate for each service.
