slsdoug
A client was sent a reminder notice for a domain expiring soon. In the CC: field was no-reply@data-protected.net which gave undeliverable mail. I cannot find out where or how this email was put in the CC: field. Any help?

slsdoug
Thanks wsa, that was it. The client has data protection turned on and that was the contact email.
WHMCS Technical Analyst II WHMCS Lawrence Posted July 11, 2018 WHMCS Technical Analyst II Share Posted July 11, 2018 For anyone who sees this going forward, this would be the e-mail address eNom sets on a domain when ID Protection is enabled.
eugenevdm
If I can add my 2 cents, we have a customer with 100 domains. When their renewals come up, we get 100 email bounces because no-reply@data-protected.net does not exist. This means we have to manage a lot of junk mail. It would be lovely to have some kind of workaround to filter these emails because network administration is already quite a busy task. Damo
Why not filter these at the MTA level? No need to have them come into your WHMCS at all.
