Cron keeps terminating all my imported accounts

Hello

I am new at WHMCS and are trying to get my setup working. (I am atm finishing up translating email templates to Danish and product listing)

I have an issue that I have been unable to solve. When I run the WHMCS cronjob all imported cPanel accounts gets terminated, and I am sure that I just need to change some setting or something, but I have several times deleted all the accounts on my system with WHMCS installed. (At least I got some disaster restore training, great to know that your backup works.) I have tried untick "Enable Termination" from "Automation Settings" and the cronjob still terminated all the imported accounts.

How do I import accounts from WHM without getting them all terminated?

Best regards Benjamin Karlog

Hello ChrisD

I got some help from the support and solved the problem.

I had the "Auto Terminate/Fixed Term" setting set to 30 on some of the product packages, but I did not expect it to have any effect as I had disabled the "Enable Termination" setting.

So now I do not understand what "Enable Termination" does, but I have at least got my cronjob working.

Enable Termination relates to overdue services, the one on the products is seperate

This does seem a bit backwards, IMO,  if the system isn't directly told to terminate (ie: the enable termination button isn't ticked), one would (rightly) expect it to not terminate , period.

I could not agree more. For some reason.

Do we have an area on the community for change requests?

This is product specific. For example, if you wanted to offer a free trial of products for a certain period of time, or time limited products that should only recur for a certain number of cycles before stopping, this would be the option to use. By using this feature, you are directly telling the system that after x amount of days you want this service to terminated. It is disabled (set to 0) by default and does highlight that the service will terminated by using this feature.

This feature would be made redundant or loose it's individual benefits if it were superseded by needing the 'enable termination' option enabled in the Automation settings. One example would be if you wanted to offer a trial of a service that is automatically terminated at the end of the trial period, but you don't want your clients paid for services to be terminated by WHMCS at all, you wouldn't be able to do so as you would either need to enable termination or not offer a trial of a product set to automatically terminate.
