Can WHMCS handle this?

marten4o

Question

Hi,

I want to buy WHMCS  but want to know if the software can handle this functionality.

I'm hosting reseller to 10 hosting providers (like NameCheap, A2 Hosting..) and have WHM on each of them.

What I want to do is to create a product in WHMCS  which will offer shared hosting with cPanel on each hosting.

For example if customer sign-up for this product - he/she will receive 10 shared hosting accounts with cPanel automatically (one account on each hosting provider).

So my questions are as follow:

1. Can WHMCS  create/ delete cpanel accounts automatically on each hosting provider I'm hosting reseller to? If so how can I achieve this?

2. Can my customers just buy the product without using a domain on registration and then to add domains to each of their shared hosting accounts.

Also I want to offer hosting for niche specific websites ( London man and van companies) and was wondering - can I integrate WHMCS into this man and van website created on custom PHP platform. If so how this can be done?

  1. Yes - refer to setup guide on docs -- https://docs.whmcs.com/Documentation_Home
  2. Yes - either create custom shopping cart template and remove chunks of code OR in details tab, uncheck box "Require Domain" -- https://docs.whmcs.com/Products_and_Services#Products
  3. Maybe. You'll either need to setup WordPress and install the bridge plugin on man and van websites or setup WHMCS on a subdomain for those domains and customize template. You may need to hire a custom developer if you are noobsack.

If you don't want to try WHMCS, consider using BoxBilling, Blesta, ClientExec or BILLmanager, etc..

Thanks for your help.

I have bought license and isntalled WHMCS on test domain.

Regarding my 1st question -  "Can WHMCS  create/ delete cpanel accounts automatically on each hosting provider I'm hosting reseller to? If so how can I achieve this?"

I have read the docs. , searched in the forum but can't find an answer on how to do it.

I have added 2 servers (whm/cpanel), lets say - Server A and Server B, but can't find a way to add assign them both to a product.

So if a user buy this product he will receive 2 shared hosting accounts (one on Server A and one on Server B).

Can you please tell me how I can achieve this?

  • WHMCS Support Manager

Hi @marten4o,

I can't think of an easy way to achieve that; a single service is assigned to a single server.

However if you wanted to offer customers the choice of one of the ten locations instead, there are after-market customisations which can add this functionality to WHMCS: https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/2342

Hi,

If there is no way to automate this I can add each server as a separate product and then manually create hosting account on each server for the client.

But If I do this - how can I made all products to be billed as a single product? I don't want the client to be billed for each hosting account because all of them will be part od 1 service?

If there is no way to achieve this with default WHMCS software - can you guide me where to find a developer to customize the script for me?

Please help me because I need this very badly. I have opened a support ticket (bought license already) but the staff just replied that this can't be achieved and that's all - no more replies from them! I need to find a solution for this - one way or another.

You would need to create 10 separate packages, and then use Bundles to achieve this, however, it's important to note that this will add 10 products to the client's profile as separate services, you can learn more at https://docs.whmcs.com/Product_Bundles
