Bryce Wray
In my case (7.1.2 to 7.2.1), the process failed because it didn't see my crons directory where it's supposed to be (may be a permissions thing; not sure). In any event, after erroring out from the upgrade process, it made me unable to reach my WHMCS install (https://services.wraysites.com/admin). I did download a DB update before attempting the update. Any suggestions regarding how to proceed? TIA.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 16, 2017 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 16, 2017 Hi, I'm sorry to hear you encountered an error whilst auto updating. I'd be interested to know the precise error logged in your /install/log/installer.log to understand the error more fully. In the meantime, you can download the 7.2.1 Full Release files from http://download.whmcs.com/ and performing a manual update to get your installation back online: http://docs.whmcs.com/Upgrading#For_a_Full_Release_Version
