I had a lot of issues with this in the past (also using a Macbook).

The fix was completely crazy and I still don't understand it. I had the general 404 page line in my .htaccess file in the root of my website. When I commented this out the WHMCS login issues resolved.

A couple of months after I re-enabled the 404 page and the issue is resolved.

Completely unexplainable but it's worth a try if you also have the same setup.

I have managed to finally fix this problem

came across this old thread..

https://forums.whmcs.com/showthread.php?103282-Invalid-CSRF-Protection-Token-Version-6

basically the workaround is to do the below;

To work around this temporarily, once can disable Session IP Check under Setup > General Settings > Security tab.

i still dont understand why this only affects Mac
