Slider option missing in Configurable Options

There's an old thread here about it, but it has no answer. The SLIDER option for configurable package options is not among the options. The last one in the dropdown box is QUANTITY. Please help.

Hi,

Quantity is the option type you need to select.

 

...choose the Quantity option type, a minimum and maximum quantity must be supplied

ok got it... but how to make it jump in increments? i've added two options, but it slides in tiny increments

though I think with the recent versions, you don't need {literal} - i'll have to post updated code at some point, but it will still work.

changing the value in jquery is the only way to change how the slider increments - and that requires template modification.

then that specific jQuery code should be in the template with variables. I've done this before.
