As soon as a client transfers his domain name, the domain name gets renewed while this is not what we want. Could you please let me know what the issue can be? I checked my registrar's module and the "TransferDomain" function has been developed and the only call that is included is a call to their api to "changeregistrar" while RenewDomain function includes a call to their api to "domainupdate". 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted November 23, 2016 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Damo's absolutely correct on this - for most general TLDs (.com, .net etc) a further year will be added to the expiry date (effectively renewed) upon transfer; for most ccTLDs (.uk, .se etc) no additional renewal takes place - it is purely a transfer. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
