lance
when we try one of the buttons on the services page within client area for login to cpanel or login to webmail, once of these works and the other is directing to localhost instead of the url... Any ideas where to change iy?
brian!
do you mean the sidebar links ? http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?104894-Login-to-cPanel-amp-Webmail-on-Client-Product-Details&p=432807#post432807
lance
Hi Brian, No this is when in the client area, services (eg a hosting plan) view details..... theres some login buttons at the bottom. For some servers it works fine, but for a new one added this week one of the links is wrong and cannot see where to change anything.
brian!
aah - including a screenshot is always useful! it sounds like your looking for the cpanel templates... they're in /modules/servers/cpanel/templates/ - I suspect the one you might want to edit is loginbuttons.tpl http://docs.whmcs.com/Working_with_Module_Templates
lance
This is stock though that comes with WHMCS, so we shouldn`t need to change anything.... strange thing is that eg people on lets say server1, these all work fine, hey login to cpanel and webmail... server2 webmail works, just cpanel has localhost instead of server name, so it must pull the server info from somewhere otherwise all would fail?
brian!
I thought that when you posted.... how about the setup -> products -> servers settings for both servers - any differences ?
lance
Checked that also, all looks ok between one server and another.. hence thought the info maybe held somewhere but couldn`t find it.
brian!
unless there is something different with the server setup itself, it might be worth opening a ticket with support to get to the bottom of it and reporting back their answer.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 5, 2016 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 5, 2016 Hi, The Webmail login button is populated using your server hostname as entered in Setup > Products/Services > Servers > Edit. Please check with your server admin/hosting provider for the appropriate public server hostname value to use here.
