New support ticket admin reply editor moves cursor to end of text when alt-tabbing

Hi,

 

Since upgrading to WHMCS 6.3.x, I notice the new markdown editor in the admin control panel support ticket reply page has an annoying "feature" whereby when you alt-tab (or otherwise change focus) away from the browser and back again, the cursor/caret is positioned at the end of the text (after signatures, etc). The old editor, and pretty much any other text box on the web, keeps the cursor where it was before. Given I'm often switching out to copy over bits of information, this is proving quite frustrating! Is anybody else seeing this problem?

 

I'm using Firefox 47 on Windows if it makes a difference. I've not tried any other browsers yet.

Happens here in Chrome as well. I had a ticket opened up and it was blown off as 'can't reproduce'

Best of all is that it seems rather random. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

This was demo'd to WHMCS staff @ HostingCon and I was assigned a case-number for it - sorry, dont have the bug numbers to hand though

The case for this is CORE-10242.

 

This behaviour only appears to manifest on Windows PCs, which would explain why we were initially unable to reproduce the problem.
