lizvang
I had a client pay for 2 domain renewals in one invoice this morning. The .com domain to be renewed, renewed with our registrar, ENOM right away. The .ca domain to be renewed has not yet renewed as of yet and it's been 1.5 hours now. The .com domain's expiry date also did not update within WHMCS (just the Next Due Date updated to 2017). WHMCS Version: 6.3.0 (updated on April 3) Auto Renew on Payment is Enabled I didn't notice this problem before WHMCS was updated April 3rd.
brian!
is the .ca TLD assigned to a registrar ? anything in the Activity logs about the .ca renewal? do you have sufficient funds with Enom to cover the renewal ? I don't think WHMCS updates the expiry date after a renewal - you'd have to use the domain sync feature for that. http://docs.whmcs.com/Enom#Expiry_Date_Syncronisation http://docs.whmcs.com/Domains_Tab#Domain_Sync_Enabled
lizvang
Yes, the .ca is assigned to ENOM. Nothing in the activity log about the .ca renewal.
lizvang
And yes, enough funds in ENOM.
brian!
I don't use eNom, but is there anyway to check on their site whether the .ca domain has been renewed ? normally the activity log would show if a renewal was successful - so surprising neither the .com or .ca isn't showing in the log... unless you removed the .com from the image for privacy reasons.
lizvang
The .ca hasn't been renewed. Keeping tabs on it in ENOM. The "Running Automatic Domain Renewal on Payment" was what I assumed the .com renewal. The Activity Log doesn't usually list the name of the domain being renewed or if it failed/completed.
brian!
The Activity Log doesn't usually list the name of the domain being renewed or if it failed/completed. it does here - success and/or failure! perhaps it's an eNom response not to - the above is for a .uk domain, so was using the Nominet module.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 4, 2016 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 4, 2016 Hi, Please apply the v6.3.1 patch set to resolve this problem for future domain renewals: CORE-9907 - Ensure Carbon object is always available to Renew function http://docs.whmcs.com/Version_6.3_Release_Notes#Maintenance Download link: http://download.whmcs.com Patch Set instructions: http://docs.whmcs.com/Upgrading#For_a_Patch_Set The renewal command for the second domain won't have been sent to the registry, so you will need to manually hit the "Renew" Module Command button to trigger that. My apologies for the inconvenience.
