hello ... I am a new WHMCS user.

a few days ago I tried to install WHMCS manually using the file that I downloaded (v6.2.2) from my account but always failed. this was the error message that i saw at the browser

Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

For assistance, contact your network support team.

then i try to install using Softaculous and successful.

is there any differences of result between the Softaculous installation with the manual installation ?

thanks before.

I don't think there is any difference. I have also installed using Softaculous several times and then followed the security guidelines to make my installation secure.

Hi,

This error means that your server is closing the connection WHMCS is using to perform the upgrade. This is usually due to the timeout value being set too low to allow all the upgrade tasks to be completed.

You'd need to work with your server admin/hosting provider to increase the wait_timeout and perhaps also the max_allowed_packet values in the MySQL Configuration. Other values that might be causing this are the connectiontimeout in Apache/connTimeout in Litespeed.

Then restore your pre-upgrade database backup before running the upgrade script again.

I haven't seen this error before, it's strange that Softaculous wouldn't cause the same error as it appears to be server related.
