espinozj
Hello Everyone, I'm brand-new to WHMCS so please excuse this newbie question: What is the best or most recommended way to setup 'Bank Transfer' or 'Bank ACH Transfer' as a payment method for WHMCS? Is there actuallly a module for this? Thank you! J.

espinozj
Hey Brian, Yes, I had read this prior to posting, but I wasn't sure if this was the only way or at least, the preferred way? Does this 'blank module' of sorts merely provide a space/field for a customer to input their Bank Routing/Account information? Or does it actually work in such a way where the money actually gets transferred automatically/

Your clients will not be able to enter they information in this module, they will transfer from their bank account to your bank account using the information you provide in this module.
Kian
The downside of the standard bank transfer gateway module included in WHMCS is that it's mono-language. Anyway you can easily implement a new one that allows you to provide your bank details in multi-language.
espinozj
Aaah ok, I see now!!! Thank you so much for your clarification! Ok, for those of you who have experience with either this module or Bank Transfers...isn't it risky at all to expose your Bank Routing and Account #? Or is it safe because only deposits are going to be made/received rather than taken out? Also, is there any prep work that has to be done where I need to advise my Bank that this will take place? Thanks! J.
Kian
You simply have to put the name of the account holder, the IBAN code and SWIFT/BIC code only for international transfers.
espinozj
Hey Everyone, One more item that I need clarification on. When I go to this link here: http://docs.whmcs.com/Bank_Transfer It talks about 'duplicating' a module and using that for me to enter and provide my Bank / Wire transfer information to customers. Right now in WHMCS, there is already a Bank Transfer module. So are these two the same exact thing...and the module was already created for me? Thanks! Bank Transfer module is already exist in WHMCS, what they say is the module not encoded so you can simple duplicate it, change it's name (add prefix/suffix/etc) and use it for different payment option (e.g: another Bank Account Information)
