Sub-domain account activation

I would like to know if whcms can handle sub-domain account activation for free hosting accounts (similar to the functionality of 'layeredpanel' or 'ipanel') or is there a module for this?

 

For example, in the order process, when the cutsomer is asked for a domain name, they have the option to setup a subdomain of the hosting company's domain(s). I believe you can set-up sub-domain accounts in WHM, the question is, can this be automated using whmcs?

Yes, you can setup packages in WHMCS that come with a free subdomain.

Can you get WHMCS to automatically setup the subdomain? If so how do I set this up?

on the product screen, when defining the details, there is a box for subdomain.

 

You put in .domain.com and when the client is ordering, there will be an option for a free subdomain,

It will create an account with the subdomain as the domain, yes.

as John says it will create the sub domain and then set this up in WHMCS and if you have the server settings correct it will set the sub domain account up on your server.
