blakeh
In one of our installations, we'd turned off these notices because clients got confused and we had domain invoice dates set for 30 days before expiration. Now in our new installation, we've left this on because of the ICANN rules. What I'm not clear on is why there is a "(0 DAYS)" in bold showing on the notices by the domains. Regardless, this is the feedback forum, so here's my feedback: There should be some language added to the template telling the customer that the domain is set to be invoiced x days from date of notice, or x days before expiration. It would be nice to have some language telling them that we've got the invoicing setup and they will get billed before the domain expires. Seems like it unnecessarily creates fear in the client that they might lose their domain when we've got that all covered in the billing system. And, isn't this what WHMCS is supposed to be for? Just a thought. The email template needs to be better. If I had my druthers, I'd turn it off, as before, just because it's confusing to clients. Thanks. bh
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 21, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 21, 2015 Hi, You can customise the email template however you want, so a message about automatic invoicing can be added easily. I wouldn't expect someone to run a business with completely stock WHMCS email templates, they're purely functional, and companies can add their own touches to it in line with communication policy.
