Better Configurable Options

Hey,

Right now WHMCS has one of the worst "product addons" system. Don't get me wrong, "worst" isn't "buggy" but "with limited features". You cannot make a simple "IF and THEN" selection.

Here's an example: our servers support 2, 3 or 4 HDDs. There's no way of making an initial selector (ex.: "How many hard drives?") and then, depending on the this selection, show additional options (2x2tb, 2x4tb, 3x2tb, 4x2tb etc). The only way of doing this is to make a dropdown with ALL combinations. At some point we calculated more than 20 "variations", just for HDDs, for a single server.

HostBill has a *very* powerful "IF_THEN" system and Blesta is "cooking" something in this direction. Unfortunately I cannot see anything regarding this *extremely* useful feature in v6.

Do you have anything planned, or for the moment you'll stick with the current way of doing things?

Thank you,

Razva

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. We welcome suggestions for new features in our feature request system.

I've had a search myself and prerequisite configurable options does not appear to have received a large number of votes yet, feel free to add your vote: https://requests.whmcs.com/responses/dependent-configurable-options
