Actually I don't recommend that theme and ThemeMetro. Because these guys created a theme last year which was called Quick Strap published in http://www.themeschamp.com.'>http://www.themeschamp.com. Today I upgraded WHMCS and my theme went down and boom. Theme doesn't support WHMCS 6.0. I opened http://www.themeschamp.com and website is suspended. I connected them with Skype but nobody helped me.

 

Not just I, everybody who bought Qs theme will suffer that issue. We paid for that theme and now we are forced to buy Webhoster theme or something. Additionaly I spent about 1 month to redesign that theme. And now I should buy new theme and redesing it again.

 

Please be careful! You would be unsupported within next months or years... I recommend you to work with more commercial theme makers.

I understand your frustration and disappointment. I would like to clarify about this all, actually I sold themeschamp in month of March to a guy including themes, domain name, WHMCS forum access, twitter, Facebook account etc. as I required money very badly for some reasons, but, I never knew that he wont be able to provide further support and update the themes.

 

I developed Ace & quickstrap, but now I am in position where I can not even support/update same theme as those are not my property, and I don't have rights to do so.

 

I was thinking to offer a good discount for themeschamp users, but I think it would be totally unfair if themeschamp come back and start providing support/selling themes.

 

I am also worried because of this all.

 

Please advise.

So glad I checked this forum, I was looking to buy a new theme as I also had bought QS from Themeschamp and now WHMCS V6 has come out I find the account suspended page when trying to get an update for my theme, I feel like I have been robbed as I have only had the QS theme for about 6 months. I had no idea this was the same guy, so I will definitely not be buying the WebHoster theme from him. I think as a gesture of goodwill he should supply the theme for free to customers of QS theme within the last 12 months.

I'm not running away from my duties, I have clarified the truth behind this all. I never knew that buyer of themeschamp will not be able to provide further support.

 

Also, as I stated earlier, if I start providing support on qucickstrap or ace it would be cheat with buyer of themeschamp. I cannot even announce any special discount for themeschamp users as it would also be unfair.

 

If I wish, I could hide my identity, and would never disclose that I owned themeschamp, and keep selling themes on ThemeMetro, but I didn't do so because I want to be good on my terms and I cant speak lie to myself.

 

Every customer who has purchased themes from Themeschamp or ThemMetro is well aware about the level of support we have been providing. All the themes we have designed shows metal of our art, we are not afraid of anything if we are right on our terms.

Well it's usual to let "your" customers know that you are selling your company and therefore transferring ownership of our support to another 3rd party. I don't remember reading anywhere about this, I just found it by accident in this forum. Whats to stop you doing it again to all those who buy it from thememetro now. Your support means nothing now as we are not getting any.

Everyone is complaining but I have tested the qs template on version 6 and there is a little need for editing the template. about the deleting of 4 lines in header.tpl and the template works again without any issues. (I am not talking about the orderform)

 

That was the 15 minutes I tested the template.

 

Otherwise you can update the php lines with the new smarty 3 update guide in the wiki and allow php in the whmcs config.

We spent more than 1 year to develop admin template, and then another 6 months to design WHMCS theme. I had no plan to sell themeschamp until I had emergency of funds.

I’m not sure I follow. It would be unfair to the buyer of your business to offer a discount but it’s not a problem to create a new business that directly competes with it? Anyway, the website is offline so I’m not seeing any issues with unfairness here.

 

If I’m being honest, I don’t really buy any of your story. Why would someone buy a business and just let it go offline? Sounds like a complete waste of time and money to me.

 

But anyway, if you won’t, I will. If any of your previous users want a 50% discount on something from WHMCSThemes.com, open a ticket with your proof of purchase and we'll make it happen.

Because its in built whmcs 6 features and working as per whmcs 6 codding (homepage, menus and sidebar are dynamic and can be manage by hooks)

I have purchased this theme and I can say, from what I've seen so far, its great.

 

I do have one question... I want to create additional pages, so I have (for example) copied reseller_hosting.php and renamed it to newpage.php - I have also copied reseller_hosting.tpl and renamed it to newpage.tpl... I have, of course, updated newpage.php setTemplate variable to the newpage.tpl - however, when loading newpage.php - the formatting of the header is not quite right. Any idea why this is the case?

I have acquired lifetime updates with the QS theme license. themeMetro is the new QS, if ThemeMetro is a new business, different of ThemesChamp, and not offer support the QS customers, it's not legal to sell the same product because the QS customers (like me) have a copyright with the QS design license.

 

Time to move to a different theme then, themeschamp is gone, from all indications.

 

I don't want change the design of my website cause my customers are really happy with ... I only want lifetime updates, cause i have paid for it, if you buy a business then you have acquired the customers with it.

 

If i not have any solutions in next hours, i go to start legal actions versus themeMetro, because themeMetro don't have my permissions to sell the same theme with another name and deny-me the lifetime support license i have payed..

 

Sorry my english is so poor, but i think it's enough to understand me.
