Plan downgrade caused clients IP to change

Hi,

Did both products have a IP address configuration under Setup > Products/Services > Products/Services > Edit > Module Settings tab?

If they are both the same, I wouldn't expect WHMCS to try changing the IP address. Plesk might have done something weird though.

Hi John,

Thank you for the reply.

Both products are set to the shared IP. The customers IP was changed manually in Plesk prior to the plan change.

How should I approach static IP's for hosting plan A and B in future and to allow plan changes between A and B without disturbing that domains dedicated IP?

Hi,

At present, I think the best way to handle that would be to create a separate product with a dedicated IP specified in the module configuration. That way, if the client upgrades/downgrades the new plan is configured to use a dedicated IP so they won't be switched back to the shared IP.
