Changing status to ACTIVE after unsuspending with upgrading. Help pls

Hello,

Just discovered a vital issue:

 

The client get the product for free trial (a free product). After several days his account was blocked by a module ("Free Trials") while cron job and an invoice for upgrading was created (by the same module) - see the logs pls. Than the client paid the invoice and the product was changed (upgraded), nice.

But the status of the product was still SUSPENDED, not ACTIVE.

 

So the client paid but his account was not unsuspended - it was stayed blocked.

 

Smth should automatically change the status to ACTIVE as clients will become angry - they pay but get nothing.

 

How can I fix this?

if this is being caused by an addon, the first step should probably be to contact the author directly - they're going to know the module better than any of us!

This is not in sphere of the addon. It seems to me that WHMCS does not change status to ACTIVE after unsuspending with upgrading. So the problem is with WHMCS behavior. How can I fix it?

As brian said it's very possible that it's an issue related to the Server Module that you are using. Maybe it's due to some if() that is going wrong, a missing expected value, timeout, problems in handling $result (I bet 1 cent. on this ) etc.

 

If you can't contact the author of the module, can you at least access to source code?

if the module is not anymore support you can add a hook for fix it with custom_hook.php page

The issue will be in the free-trials addon you are using

It needs to add 2 lines to the invoice (with correct type and relid)

- one related to the upgrade, and one related to re-enabling the product

Do you think that the free-trial addon should work with this, not the Server Module? Why?
