bluedeerforest
I was doing some testing with a test client tonight, making sure I could reset a password and I think something got stuck in the process. First, I filled out the Lost Password Reset page with the correct email address. Afterwards, the email account receives an email stating this: "Recently a request was submitted to reset your password for our client area. If you did not request this, please ignore this email. It will expire and become useless in 2 hours time. To reset your password, please visit the url below: /https://domain.com/support/pwreset.php?key=f3b8d477d17f12dd338e6d9f993e41b1[/url] When you visit the link above, your password will be reset, and the new password will be emailed to you." I clicked on the link and it took me to a verification page on the site that said "Password Reset Successful". but then nothing happens. Should I be getting another email with a link to login and change my password? thanks!
brian!
I think your template might be out of date... everything is right up until you get the "recently" email... the link in that email should take you to a page where the client can enter their new password themselves - it is no longer sent to them by email. the two template files you should check are pwreset.tpl and pwresetvalidation.tpl - compare yours to the ones in the latest whmcs download and make the appropriate changes.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted February 3, 2014 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted February 3, 2014 Hi, It's /templates/*your active template*/pwreset.tpl and pwresetvalidation.tpl you'll need to update.
