hekg
Every time a new security patch is released, we patch as per the instructions and yes we note the correct patch for our correct version number. We upload the files and then whmcs is gone, only blank pages appear when trying to access it. Every time we try to use patches! Why even bother with patches if we always have to then download the full package, upload the whole thing including our custom templates just to get it working again. What's the problem? Do we first need to tell whmcs to use the default templates before patching or something??
SeanP
Have you tried clearing your templates cache (templates_c folder), and your web browser cache?
hekg
No we just follow the patch instructions of uploading the new files and then just opening the admin page. Will give that a shot on the next patch. Thanks
SeanP
Yeah, they need to put steps in the patch instructions to clear the cache in both places. I think a lot of people run into issues like this, and they sometimes end up being caused by cached pages.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 16, 2013 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 16, 2013 Hi, At the bottom of the upgrade instructions we advise that clearing template cache is a worthwhile endeavour, for both full release and patch sets: http://docs.whmcs.com/Upgrading#Helpful_Hints If I can clarify anything further, please let me know.
