Plesk 10 & expiration dates

Hey,

we have a situation were:

1. client has an active hosting package on a Plesk 10 server (provisioned by the module).

2. the package has expired (no payment)

3. a few day after due date, the client has paid the invoice

4. according to the logs:

11.08.2013 16:08 Module Unsuspend Successful - Service ID: 487

11.08.2013 16:08 Running Auto Unsuspend on Payment

5. a day later, Plesk (not WH!) suspended the account.

digging into the issue, we found out, the expiration day inside Plesk was not changed, which caused the account to expire (although paid through WH).

It's a very common problem. If you want WHMCS to activate, suspend, unsuspend and terminate hosting accounts on Plesk, you have to prevent Plesk from being able to do the same. The problem is that you are creating hosting accounts on Plesk with an expiration date which "overwrites" WHMCS module commands.

This is what is going on on your WHMCS/Plesk: On 01/01/2013 i order an hosting account. WHMCS runs the "Activate" module command. Since all your Service Plans are set with an expiry date, my hosting for Plesk will expire on 01/01/2014. On 02/01/2014 both WHMCS and Plesk suspend my hosting account. Few days later i renew it. WHMCS unsuspends it but as soon as Plesk runs its scheduled tasks, it will be suspended over and over again. WHMCS in fact doesn't update expiry date on Plesk. It justs execute commands.

The solution is: On all your Plesk panels you have to set "Expiry date: Unlimited" for all your Service Plans and of course also for all your existing hosting accounts. In this way Plesk can no longer suspend accounts. WHMCS will do it.
