Report of domains in eNom but not in WHMCS, i.e. missing domains.

How can I best, most easily report on "missing domains", i.e. domains that might have been registered directly in our eNom account, as opposed to being registered via WHMCS? I suspect there may be a few like this.

I could export all domains from the appropriate WHMCS db table, export all domains from eNom, then compare the two for mismatches. But it would be fabulous if there was a less technical, more accessible, GUI way of doing this. Same for other registrars that we work with. Perhaps there's an add-on for that?

Thanks for your help.

when I did this, I did it by exporting the list from my registrar, and my whmcs list, and comparing the two visually...

I suppose you could save both as csv files and import them into excel, sort alphabetically and spot the differences that way.. then when you have a list of the "missing" domains, you can manually import them following John's link above.

Sincerely thanks guys for your replies - but unfortunately it's nothing that I didn't know already. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough about what I knew already :-/

You know when you use the cPanel/WHM import script and point it to a WHM server... it then does this beautiful report that clearly highlights any hosting accounts on the WHM server that aren't in (i.e. recognised by) WHMCS. *THIS* is what I'd like for domain names: an GUI comparison of which domain names are in WHMCS and which are not, relative to a particular registrar I might be pointing the reporting tool at.

Might be worth posting in the requests section then for a custom developer to look at...

Openmind is right - you're going to have to pay someone to code this for you.

although I see that you posted a similar thread in "feature requests" 14 months ago - asking for a bulk import and sync of domains to WHMCS - it would be a useful tool for some to have the option to import from their registrars.

if you're in no rush to pay someone to create it, perhaps you should submit a new feature request at http://requests.whmcs.com/ - if enough interest is generated, then it may get added to a future release.
