rsearley
I got an email from nominet: As outlined in August, we will be removing the remaining Nominet EPP schemas in June 2013 (versions 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2). We ran an audit recently to see who was still using these schemas and found that you are using Nominet EPP schema v2.2 with your tag. This schema will only be available for another three months and we would therefore encourage you to look into the transition to Standard EPP schemas as soon as possible. The only epp im using is whmcs, will there be a fix??
roop
We've just had the same email in overnight from Nominet re Nominet EPP schema v2.2 Look forward to hearing from WHMCS about this, or if we need to submit an individual support ticket.
Wabun
I had this as well and was going to ask about it. I hope they will give more attention to it then developing a new cart!

rsearley
I expect if there is no response here a support ticket will be needed I keep meaning to raise one when i have the time
Terra
I raised this via support ticket and got as reply: "We are aware of this and will be updating a future version of WHMCS to support the new schema. " The versions currently out there inc 5.2.x do NOT use the correct Nominet schema.
rsearley
I hope the plugin will be backward compatable with v5.1 I raised this via support ticket and got as reply: The versions currently out there inc 5.2.x do NOT use the correct Nominet schema.
Si
I'm really not keen on moving to 5.2 (on 5.1.5 at the minute). I've lost too many customers in the past year because of botch upgrades and customers losing confidence in us. Hopefully this will be a registrars module update only and can be applied to any version of WHMCS. It would be good to hear something official from WHMCS. ? Why do we all have to raise individual support tickets when there is a forum? No wonder support on tickets is slow if everyone who is a nominet tag holder is raising tickets. Come on WHMCS.......just tell us.
Wabun
I totally agree with you, support is very slow, I have issue with registering .es and it is already taking more then a week, and no reply in the weekend. You better consider to upgrade to latest version 5.2.3 to make sure your on top of things. but to be honest, wish i kept awbs, those guys where fast with issues. I sound negative, but I feel like so, Nominet is really important to us and I want to keep this going.
Wabun
1st of May, any news???
Si
Patiently waiting whmcs. (This is a major issue which I'm surprised whmcs haven't been more public about). Or maybe they have and I've missed it. ?
brian!
hopefully with the 6-week update schedule, v5.2.5 should catch this - i'll be furious if it doesn't and the Nominet module stops functioning... one of the main reasons for coming to WHMCS was its Nominet functionality over our previous billing software. they've had enough notice to fix this and the deadline is looming.
brian!
Update from Nominet... Following feedback from registrars we have extended the transition period for users of Nominet EPP. We will be withdrawing Nominet EPP from 9 July 2013. All registrars that wish to use EPP should ensure that their system are using the Standard EPP schemas that we support. so WHMCS have a little more time to update this, but would still hope to see it in the next release.
Wabun
Just wonder if they will fix this in time, or should i move back to AWBS?
brian!
Just wonder if they will fix this in time, or should i move back to AWBS? In another thread, I was told by someone who had submitted a ticket to support about this, that WHMCS are aware of the EPP issue and will update it before the deadline.
rsearley
I was told that the new module would be in V5.3 which is due soon
Si
Yea, left right to the last minute, right in the middle of the holidays when we one man bands are planning to take a few days off. No time for testing. Wonderful. Let's hope that when it does arrive, it just works.
Chris74
I'm concerned about this. They are cutting it very close. If there are template changes required in the new 5.3 update - they'd need to release it within a couple of weeks of the Nominet schemas being removed, so people have enough time to update their templates. The 9th of July deadline is looming. I'd be much happier if they could release an interim Nominet module update, before the release of 5.3
Terra
On the 12/June, support told me There is no update at this time, please keep an eye on our blog for the announcement: http://blog.whmcs.com/ This is complete shambles. The last updates were a nightmare, and now UK domain registrars have to push out an untested update at short notice when they finally release it. I really hate this software.
