snake
Currently our WHMCS is screwed and is not generating invoices properly, been waiting weeks and weeks for WHMCS support to look at this. So we are having to generate invoices manually. So on the summary page I choose all products and click generate invoice. But it does not update the "next due date" on the products, is it supposed to ? or is this something else I have to do manually
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 12, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 12, 2012 Hi, Please being your troubleshooting by reading our documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Invoicing_Issues The Next Due Date is only updated when the invoice is paid by the client.
snake
Normally when the cron job runs it creates invoices and all the products next due dates are updated. This is the normal behaviour and I have observed checked it on invoices that generate correctly. Run cron job, check products, next due date has changed to the next month. So surely the same must be true for manually generated invoices too? Our big issue is When the cron job runs it is not generating invoices correctly lately. Sometimes it generates a blank invoice, and only the FIRST products next due date is updated. Sometimes it generates a blank invoice, and NONE of the products next due date is updated. Sometimes it generates a an invoice, with some products on it, but some missing, or addons missing, the missing ones do not get their due date updated. The result of this is that the customer is not invoiced correctly and the products whose "next due dates" are not changed, which means the dates stay in the past and the customer is never charged again.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 15, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 15, 2012 Hi, The cron job doesn't make any changes to the Next Due Dates, it's only invoice payment that does that. But it's possible that an invoice can be created and paid in the same cron run, which is why you'd be forgiven for thinking that is the case.
