cron job is working on whmcs 4.4.2 after admin rename andpassword protect?

Hello,

 

I have a whmcs 4.4.2, in renamed the admin directory (and updated cron) , and password protect the admin dir, in accordance with http://docs.whmcs.com/Further_Security_Steps , and after these actions, cron job is not working..

yes i did..

Could you type the syntax on linx for protected directories?

If you are using lynx, you may want to try whitelisting the main server IP in your htaccess file also.

It was white listed, but it still doesn't run..

It has been a while since I used Lynx, but I believe the "auth" parameter is what you may be looking for

 

-auth=ID:PASSWD

 

ID will be the user name for the password protection, and PASSWD will be the associated password. For more information on Lynx parameters, you may wish to refer to the man page for it at http://linux.die.net/man/1/lynx
