netwood
Will the "ID Protection" checkbox on the domain page, switch between what the registrar refers to as "Private Registration"? If so, it's not working for us. We use OpenSRS. Is there any configuration changes we need to do to make this work? We have no problem register domains. //jonas
cenourinha
I'm having also some problems with this. Only when the customer "orders" from the client area. Also, as we offer this service, it would be great if you could display "Activate" instead of "Order" in the client area.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 5, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 5, 2012 Hi, Indeed it is, they can be purchased by clients from the Addons tab on the domain details page on the default template (module dependant): http://blog.whmcs.com/?t=46697
netwood
If I enable ID protection for a domain in the admin backoffice, then it does not enable it at the registrar. Does this work from the client login area only? We use OpenSRS.
netwood
John, Can you verify if the domain protection only works if the customer selects it from the client area?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 11, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 11, 2012 Hi, That's right, the option in the admin area just adjusts the domain's pricing, it doesn't have any effect on the registrar.
netwood
Bummer. Any plans on making it so it can alter the setting at the registrar?
