slim
This may be a usability or configuration issue, but im finding that when a customer transfers a domain its not being assigned to a registrar, and therefor even if I accept the order the transfer request isnt being made to the registrar as none is assigned. To remedy Ive been editing the domain, changing to the only active registrar (aussiehq) and then saving and then using the transfer button to initiate the transfer. Am I doing somthing wrong or is somthing not configured properly? I would assume that the domain should be assigned to the registrar, so when the order is paid/accepted the transfer request actually gets performed? (5.1.2 and AussieHQ Registrar module) Edited August 26, 2012 by slim
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 29, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 29, 2012 Hi, The registrar will be assigned automatically to the one selected under Setup > Products/Services > Domain Pricing when the client pays the invoice. If you're wanting to transfer/renew a domain before the client has paid then you will need to select the registrar manually. Please also refer to http://docs.whmcs.com/Domains_Management#Manually_Renewing_a_Domain
slim
Hi Thanks.. I think the reason for my confusion was this.. .com.au domains cost $0.00 to transfer - So I was expecting the transfer to happen directly after the order is recieved. However the last couple of orders for domain transfers were also coupled with other products - that had not been paid. Thanks for your help.
