SteveV
- when an order is accepted, expiry date for domain is not changed from 00/00/0000 to correct date and domain status remains as 'pending'
arhost
I can also confirm this. The domain registration remains pending and the domain does not get registered. You have to go to domain tab and manually click on register to register the domain name.
lance
does the expiry date not get update when the cron job runs?? the next due date should be eg 2013, expiry 0000 etc then it updates when the cron runs.. thats how it worked on ours
SteveV
@lance - no, the expiry date has always been updated immediately after accepting an order for us, before 5.1.2
lance
never has for us... thats always updated on the cron run, even though now the cron has run the expiry date has not updated, possibly due to only 20-30 domains being processed when the cron runs ?

HostinPK
Same here. We can also confirm this bug. We had to regd 10 domains manually so far. Actually, domain is not regd through stargate or NEO module. Matt suggest us something.
lance
quick update, we sold a few domains today, the coms etc are updating and going active straight away and expiry dates are updated, the UK domains are though staying pending and 0000 as above users. All domains have registered with the respective registrar Edited July 11, 2012 by lance
insider1
We have same problem. We use Resellerclub and on order accepting domain is not registered and stays pending. Then when registering domain from domain details page sometimes getting error: "Error: Error obtaining customer id ". After retrying domain is registered at Resellerclub, but in WHMCS it stays in pending state and expiration date is updated. So after semi-manual registration we have also to update domain status and expiration date in WHMCS manually.

Si
This thread should be merged: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?51102 I thought I was alone in this. Major nightmare this. Can't figure out this cron sync only doing 50 domains at a time either.
SteveV
If these threads are merged, I'd like to point out that our problem is with domains (like co.za and .org.za) using "Email" as the registrar. We register .com etc manually.
Si
Fair enough. The issue then on the thread I started is nominet (UK) related only. There are some cross-over issues that seem to be related though. I've reverted back to using the old individual nominetsync.php script but registrations are still failing.

Hello, I've noticed this issue with my own install, all our domains go through eNom and when we process the activation of the hosting account and domain purchase it doesn't change from "pending" and instead we must manually go to the "Domains" customer window and click the Register or Transfer button to properly start this. How did this kind of crap get ignored by WHMCS, or better yet how did they manage to break a perfectly working system?
SteveV
I agree with you that this is unacceptable. We process large numbers of domain orders every day, and this has creating an unnecessary workload which we could well do without. How did this get through beta testing? Or are we all the beta testers now?
sol2010
A patch has been posted here - try at your own risk! http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?51586-Domain-Registrations-Renewals-Failing WHMCS staff does seem remarkably quiet on this - but they have 500 + tickets (probably) waiting on a response! I guess that's why they are hiring support staff !!
SteveV
Unfortunately, that patch does not fix the problem. There are now at least 7 bugs/broken functionality which are making things very difficult for us and frustrating our clients.
