ouwejan
Since a couple of days automatic setups suddenly aren't working anymore. The error '56 - Recv failure: Connection reset by peer' occurs. What could be the cause of this? We try to setup hosting accounts in DirectAdmin. Manually pressing 'Create' in whmcs doesn't work either. Any help will be highly appreciated
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 14, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 14, 2012 Hi, There are a couple of things that you can try here : Check or uncheck the the Secure SSL Connection in Setup > Servers > Edit Servers and see if the problem persists. Please double check the IP and Hostname entered in Setup > Servers are definitely valid and have no spaces in the fields, and if they don't then it is a firewall issue so you need to check and ensure the port is open for both inbound and outbound connections on both the server WHMCS is installed on and the server being connected to. The port being used depends on what module you are using but for DirectAdmin it's usually 2222, so make sure that's open in your server firewall at both ends. If the above fails you would need to check with your server admin/host to see if they have any further suggestions on the "Error: 56 - Recv failure: Connection reset by peer" error.
tkalfaoglu
Yes, I'd check the firewalls, remote API IP address definitions (if someone's IP has changed), and timeout values for httpd and php.. -t
