gohigher
We have done quite a few upgrades of WHMCS, and one of the persistent issues encountered is that of customized templates being over written during upgrade. To solve this problem (for ourselves and others) we developed a quick mod called TPL Override. Features Customized TPL files reside in their own directory outside of selected templates directory Easily enable / disable through the addon modules in the admin area We think it would be of great value to the WHMCS community at large, as it has helped us speed up our upgrade process for ourselves and our clients. What It Does Essentially, it provides a directory in the /modules/addons/tpl_override directory that is searched before rendering the display to the client. If a file is found there matching the current view, that template is used in place of the one in your selected template folder. Simply copy your template file from your /templates/(selected folder) to the custom directory and modify that file. Then when upgrades occur, you can proceed without worry, and only apply the changes in any affected files as indicated by the change log. Simple! Once you have registered, log in with your email address or username and password. Navigate to Downloads at the top of the page and select TPL Override Please note that as it is being released free of charge and open sourced, we are not offering premium support for the product (ie through our ticket system) but you are welcome to post in our forum in the WHMCS Help area and if we can help we will be happy to. JulesR
Can you please provide this without the need for registration? Why do people insist on doing this?
stormy
This is interesting, maybe a similar solution could be incorporated to WHMCS
zomex
This sounds very interesting. If this was default it would be great as it would make upgrades extremely easy. I think most people only edit their header.tpl and footer.tpl files. Jack
