laszlof
I received a paypal dispute this morning for a module on my website. Here is the detail of the events: 7:39am - Order received/payed 8:34am - Order accepted/download information sent 10:12am - Paypal dispute opened: Message in dispute: I havent recieved any mail about the order I did. No other communication was attempted to resolve the issue. Is this how people treat vendors today? Seriously, at least give it a day before opening a dispute. Even then, you should take a few minutes and try to resolve the issue by contacting the vendor first. Paypal doesn't like disputes, and if you get too many, they close your account, even if they have been resolved. This is more of a rant than anything else, I'm sure the person who bought the module is on this forum somewhere. Hopefully they will read it, and maybe reevaluate how they handle business in the future. P.S. I noticed this morning that some of my website emails were not making it to google (gmail), so that's likely why they did not receive the download information.
m8internet
Yes, sadly this is quite often the case The client has not received the expected emails and/or product service, so go straight to PayPal and open a dispute The solution is to resend the email and then open a new Support Ticket, including that the customer must respond within 24 hours If they don't respond then suspend the service and treat the payment as unpaid
zomex
Hello Frank, I had exactly the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. Someone ordered a product, didn't read the installation instructions and literally 5 minutes after the order opened a dispute instead of contacting me. WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 9, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 9, 2012 There is an option in PayPal to display a custom message to clients on the dispute page before they file it, so you can use that to list contact details and so forth. But if they've decided to file a dispute it might be too late already.
Roger
The Burger-King generation. Requires instant gratification.... Don't require them to of all things "read the instructions"! Makes me glad I've pulled the plug and closed my hosting doors. -Roger
