Thats also my opinion... It would be the smallest problem for a testing page but for production state its essential to have a secure authentification to protect the customers personal data.

Think about probably stored payment data and one-click logins/passwords for webhosting panels

well that even better, but how good will it be for free, such as reissues etc.

Startssl is not bad I think. Free certificates gets issued for 1 year and paid for 2 years. After this time you just renew your domain or identity validation and request a new certificate.

If you need some wildcard certificates or just want to have your identity verified and included in the certificate paying 59 USD for 2 years and unlimited certificates should be fair.

Maybe it sounds a bit curious that the company is located in Israel but I think its a serious company and it's marked as trusted by most applications (Including Mozilla products, Internet Explorer, Android...).

And even a self-signed certificate is better than none (But of course not enough for a billing system).

Anyway here is the WHMCS Showcase section to comment and review the design and the WHMCS integration. ;)

OPk , but i dont understand the above comment, it its because you think we strayed from the point of the WHMCS showcase, then we never as an SSL cert is part of the design and workings of a good WHMCS installation.

@easyhosting you do understand he is more interested in what we think of the design and not the security and integrity of his WHMCS installation right? Anyways really nice design! I would change the color of the text in the top right corner though ;)

Yes i do and an SSL is a part of a websites overall design and functions, of which he sorted. yes i agree with the colour of the text. i would make this white, so at least it can be read

I'll agree with that. Does make sense, I think without SSL gives your clients an eery feeling, if it's for free hosting then I understand but for a proper profit making business I would agree a SSL cert is a good thought of mind, and gives your clients a peace of mind ;) Free SSL Certs are available but only resort to them if you cannot afford a paid one.

with some free ssl certs and end user can easily find out its a free cert and therefore can think a free ssl = a * site.

when you can get a positive ssl for as little as $5 a year and a rapidssl for $10 a year so they are not that expensive.

also if you are in the hosting business then if you sign up to resell some ssl certs you get a premium ssl free. i got 1 from Comodo along with free hackerproof

globalsign also used to give resellers a free premium ssl certificate, not sure if they still do
