Does WHMCS support an Australian payment gateway with cc tokenisation?

Hello.

 

We're looking into using WHMCS but we don't want to store credit card information on our server for the purpose of repeat billing.

 

My understanding is that the only way to achieve this is via tokenisation of credit details on our server. Is that correct? If so, are there any Australian payment gateway providers that tokenistation services that work just fine, right now, with WHMCS?

The tokanisation gateways are listed in our documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Payment_Gateways

Not sure if any of them are Australian though.

Tokenisation isn't available out of the box for any currently supported Australian gateway. There's been plenty of talk and forum requests for an eWay gateway module update to include it but nothing has surfaced yet.

 

I'm actually surprised that eWay wouldn't fund the development for it.

Maclean from eWAY here. We're trying to get a solution integrated with WHMCS that uses our client side browser processing token solution (no server side scripts handle card data) but it's taking some time (and patience)

 

I hope to have an update soon.

Do you have an ETA on this?

 

I'm keen to sign up to Eway but the token solution is mandatory in my eyes; I don't want the CC data anywhere near my server

Tokenisation for eWay is going to included in the next release of WHMCS, as noted by Matt in a release note of the beta. It's likely to appear in the next few weeks. No ETA has been set but this timing is based on previous beta releases.
