kers7754
I am re-branding a new hosting company and I want to offer selling Windows and Linux shared hosting accounts. I have a couple of questions. Should I purchase both a linux and a windows dedicated server as well as cPanel and Enkompass licenses or should I host both Windows and Linux hosting on the same box? Should my WHMCS installation be on a server by itself or can it be on the same server as my customer's sites?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 3, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 3, 2011 If you're interested in maximum security installing WHMCS separately from other hosting accounts is a good idea.
mylove4life
To do it right you would want 3 servers, one for each service...
ihttp
The biggest question for me would be; What are you going to be hosting on the windows box, is it just going to be hosting? Or are you putting other services such as games etc? For me personally I'd be buying two seperate boxes for the job you are looking at, That way if the Windows and/or Linux users get very busy you'll not have a slow down over the entire node. Hope this helps.
