Wietse
Hey there, We've been using WHMCS for over a year now, no problems up until now. Today a new client registered and ordered a domain, but it's not a real order: a (spam)bot found the registration/ordering form. Since we don't really need manual registration in WHMCS, I tried to disable client registration completely but it doesn't seem possible. My current configuration: General Settings -> Ordering -> Only Auto Provision for Existing (checked) General Settings -> Security -> Captcha Form Protection (switched from "Always Off" to "Off when logged in" now) General Settings -> Other -> Allow Client Registration (unchecked) Seems to me it's kinda difficult for a spam bot to register/order now, but is it possible to completely disable it? We can create users from the admin area, no need to make it possible on the front end. Thanks in advance! - Wietse
pRieStaKos
Remove "Register" from header.tpl
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 25, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 25, 2011 Unticking Allow Client Registration will prevent anyone from registering via register.php. It wouldn't stop them placing an actual order though if the bot is clever to navigate the order form.
lyonsbilling
As WHMCS John mentioned, you can deselect "Allow Client Registration" in WHMCS 8.x, by going to: System Settings --> General Settings --> Other tab --> "Allow Client Registration."
