Transferring clients site after WHMCS account auto creation

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am a bit stumped on the quickest way to transfer a clients website from another host after they have purchase and account through WHMCS and it does an auto setup.

We use WHM and it seems that the standard transfer features do not work once the clients account is already set up?

Has anyone got a solution to this that streamlines the transfer process once a client orders rather than having to manually go into their existing site, download it locally, then upload it in its separate pieces i.e. homedirectory and then databases, and if necessary go into the sites config files and change the settings... all very labourious!:?... has to be a quicker easier way;)

Thanks

If the account has already been set up, then I would:

1. Terminate the account in WHM.

2. Copy the account from the remote server.

3. Make sure the package in WHM matches one of your existing packages.

4. Update WHMCS with the correct Cpanel username and password.

Thanks Scurrell... the only sense of confusion created here is that the client is firstly sent their account access details on whmcs setup and then I go and delete that account, create another and then send them a new set of access details! Unless I have understood this incorrectly... this is part of the messy bit that I see.:?:
