wildman
Opened a support ticket 3 days ago and have still yet to hear from them. Anyone else have issues with the developers at Boardoo? It seems they have a faulty product if they them selfs wont even answer a question about the issue.

wildman
Very disappointed with the folks over at boardoo. Bought "MyDomains" and guess what, it does not work. To get a response from the team took 2-3 days and now im getting no response at all for their faulty product. I have had to open a PayPal dispute in hopes they would communicate, nope still no communication. I was told in the one and only response that it might not work with all WHMCS / Addons. Well, "Might" is not an answer, either provide the support mentioned to fix it or refund the money. Nope, not even 1 response. They just close ticket after ticket. Don't waste your time with these guys. They will take your money, delivery a faulty product and provide poor support if any. Hopefully I can come back on and say that everything has been resolved but that looks doubtful . I really did not want to write a bad review on any service provider. Sometimes the truth must be said though to protect other members at WHMCS. Edited May 12, 2011 by wildman
wildman
Yeah, well today is Wed and still no response. 6 days is not acceptable, lets just say the weekend does not count. That is 4 days. Don't waste your time with these guys. Hopefully I can come back on and say that everything has been resolved but that looks doubtful . I really did not want to write a bad review on any service provider. sometimes the truth must be said though.
jeremyhaber
Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with them. This is not really a surprise. I have seen many complaints about them on these forums. Hope you can get your issues resolved.
TLawrence
Yeah, I'd have to agree on this I purchased the vBLink product ( I had bough-ten the source code version so I can of course look into/correct the issue myself ). But I was presented with the inability to install it, and no help from them upon requesting/posting tickets in their system the most I got was my ticket closed and no response at all. So I quit attempting to use the product and just begun writing my own hooks to preform the actions I desire.
wildman
If there has been so many issues with this seller then why are they listed in the WHMCS directory? I can understand having a product not work across all platforms / setups however to not even respond back or refund money if it does not work is beyond me. Hopefully Matt can come on here and do some investigating so others dont have to go through the hassle. So, this is the 7th day and still no response. Time to call my friends up at PayPal and talk to them directly, they always take care of their loyal customers it seems.
easyhosting
why are they listed in the WHMCS directory? what do you mean they are listed in the members directory just like all members. WHMCS has no control over members businesses or business practices. Saying that i have WhozOnline from Boardoo and have had no problems. When i have request support they have replied with 24 hours (although its been a while since i requested support)
tsiedsma
I'll chime in about the ticket reply time. I also submitted a ticket on Friday the 8th. I'm not in a hurry though so if it takes a week for them to get back to me, so be it. I bought the vblink product (un-encoded) so as not to reinvent the wheel. I also ran into installation issues and now have some functionality issues. Even though it is unencoded, the code isn't very well documented so figuring out how everything works will take longer than waiting for a reply to the support ticket.
easyhosting
last reply/post by them on their forum http://www.boardoo.com/forum/ was 3 weeks ago and their last tweet was 428 days ago
wildman
@easyhosting I was referring to the WHMCS Contributions Directory. Anyone logged in can be seen in forum footers where it says online. That is a totally different ball game all together.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 13, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 13, 2011 Per the disclaimer at the bottom of the Community Contributions Directory: Disclaimer: The addons available here are provided by end users who are in no way affiliated with WHMCS and therefore no support is offered for them. wildman
Yes John, Im aware of that what im wondering is there has been so many issues why are they still listed in the directory. BTW, I have still not heard from them.
3awh
Per the disclaimer at the bottom of the Community Contributions Directory: OK So if there is a developer that you allow to post an add in you add-on section and that developer will not answer questions and there's a lot of complaining in the forums about this developer and the developer will not answer anyone or the claims in this forum, Why would you not take down that developers ads until he answers your request to contact the posts on this forum?

Roger
It's a real shame. At one point in time it looked like the Boardoo coders had some high quality work for the WHMCS community. I suspect they won't be able to recover from the current situation. -Roger

bernardc
It is really sad that some really falter with support. I think they should even put more focus on support as a lot are usually counting on this one. Though it is not a surprise anymore as I have already read some other complaints about them on some forums. However, you must not consider weekends as part of counting the days as most are not available on weekends. Maybe you just have to wait and hopefully that issue gets resolved.

easyhosting
well just checked and still i have no ticket reply, but they have a new forum moderator who was last on 2 days ago. this is from their site 3-16-2011 Welcome mknjhill, the new Boardoo Moderator. I am pleased to welcome Mike (aka mknjhill) the official site moderator and the newest member of the Boardoo team. Mike has generously volunteered his services to help out around here with routing forum support requests to the right place, filing bug reports, as well as to assist in the daily fight against forum spam amongst other things. Mike is going to play a crucial role as we move forward with both updates to our entire line of WHMCS add-ons, as well as a completely new and exciting product code-named The North Creek Project which has been under development for nearly 4 months. Please join me in welcoming Mike to the Boardoo team! fair enough they have a new moderator, but the mods Join Date 02-04-2011 and he is classed as a Junior Member, so they have allowed a newbie as a mod, which seems strange giving the mods job to a new member Edited June 19, 2011 by easyhosting
