Setup and Configuration Service

veroeven

Question

1. Installation & Configuration

I'm thinking of having WHMCS help me with set up and configuration.

I see a lot of security methods being used to help prevent hacking, like password protecting the admin folder.

What types of security measures do you employ, besides the the ones you suggest during installation like: moving downloads, templates _c, attachments.

2. Integration.

I don't understand fully this service. I have Joomla, so does this mean you will change my template to integrate the ordering process and all of WHMCS through my site? (Like this: http://screencast.com/t/PJdaez36R)

Thanks,

Tony

Hi,

1. If you specifically requested we rename the admin directory and move the cache directories we can do that for you as part of the service. There aren't any further further security steps.

2. Yes exactly.

The template that you give me: Is this a joomla template that wraps around the whmcs, or is this a template that

Is this template that I install, and where do I install? If it is a Joomla template that I install then will it just show up as "seamless" as we've discussed? Or is this template that resides outside of joomla?

Just trying to picture how this all works when you create the template for me, what happens next? How do I make it all "work"

Thanks!

Hello Tony,

They will take the design (HTML/CSS/Javascript/images) of your Joomla template and then integrate it with WHMCS to create a matching WHMCS theme.

The finished template will look the same as your existing design yet it will be for WHMCS meaning WHMCS's functionality will be present and it will be located in the templates folder of WHMCS. You'll be able to activate this from inside your WHMCS admin panel.
