miketree
How do we go about transfering domains from ENOM? it seems we can't just do a whmcs transfer, as it says the domain is already registered with us. Also, when we do transfer in of domains, the expiry date etc in WHMCS are not updated. Is that normal?
Roger
Transferring a domain from eNom to Internetbs. 1. Go into your eNom control panel. 2. Open the domain to be transferred 4. If this is your domain skip to #7 otherwise continue 5. Select Contact Information 6. Temporarily set the registrant email is set to your email. 7. Select General Settings 8. Click the "Email Auth Info to Registrant " link 9. close your eNom control panel. eNom will email you the EPP code In your internetbs control panel. 1. Click the Domain tab. 2. Select the correct tld to transfer 3. Enter the domain name on next page. 4. Select what to do on Private Whois info. 5. Tick the "I accept the Terms and Conditions" box. 6. Chose your method of payment on next screen. 7. Enter the EPP code you received from eNom. 8. Transfers will usually take 5 days. 9. Look for an email that requests your approval to transfer. Click the approval link. 10. Once the transfer is completed. If this was a clients domain. Change the email back to the original email that you replaced in eNom. 11. Note that it will take some time for the domain to be removed from your list of registered domains in enom. HTH's -Roger
miketree
That is very helpful. Do we then need to make changes in WHMCS?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 23, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 23, 2011 You can do all the above within WHMCS itself via the client's domains tab. Then instead of logging into the internetbs control panel simply change the "Registrar" dropdown to internetbs and click the "Transfer" Module Command button. The only downside is that clients won't be able to manage the domain via WHMCS whilst the transfer is in process. But it will immediately come online once the transfer is complete.
Roger
Do make sure you change the registrar to InternetBS.
m8internet
I have transferred a few .com and .net Domain Names to them without any issue It is easy enough to transfer .uk Domain Names to them However, they are really slow to update the renewal details I now have one that has EXPIRED within my Nominet account but they are adamant it has renewed, which it was with them on 23 August (over 12 hours ago) Even though I have tried to explain the Nominet account takes precedence, even todays response was the same Even worse, now that it has expired, the customer will be sent a renewal notice by Nominet, which is £90 The next is due to expire on 29 August, so will see what happens with that
