How do I setup WHMCS to create cPanel Access for customer?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am using WHMCS for signing up clients, domain names and billing. No problem there. But I do have a problem.

I have created my hosting packages in WHM. Does WHMCS interface with the Hosting packages I have created in WHM and automatically send out login details for the clients cPanel, FTP access etc?

Or do I have to send out the hosting logins seperately? How do I best Handle this? I want to automate the process as much as possible.

Any help with this will be much appreciated.

Matt.

Hi

You need to check out the WIKW - it is all explained in there. But for starters here is the server setup side of things. http://wiki.whmcs.com/CPanel/WHM

The whole process from ordering processig the order payment, setting up cPanel, sending out welcome emails etc etc is able to be fully automated so you can practically leave WHMCS to run your business for you with hardly any intervention for the ordering side of things.

Thanks for that vchosting, I can see what needs to be done now :) Now if only I could find out why WHMCS is rounding up my hosting prices. I set the price at 5.75, then when you go to check the order form it says 6.00. How does that happen?

if I come up with a solution to this I will post it here if you dont mind me doing this.

We might need one of the WHMCS Administrators to take a look at this for us. I havnet heard anything from them yet. I wish they would offer to go into our admin and check our sttings, they would probably spot the problem in 2 mins.

Ok I have sort of figured it out I think have you setup your server? in whmcs

and did you set it up correctly if so check the selected mail for the packages you have created and make sure it is the right one.

I am just relaying the steps me and my host have taken to correct this issue I dont know if it is corrected yet going to try it now and will get back to you

WHMCS is not setting up the hosting package in cPanel/WHM so I dont think it would send out the email anyway. I have the "Hosting Account Welcome Email" selected for each package

Is WHMCS adding the customers hosting package to your cPanel/WHM Buzzhost?

Ok I have just signed up another test account to see if the emails were being sent with all info in them and they are not so no I have manually created the packages to the whm cPanel and it still is not working not sure why. we are going to have to ask the whmcs customer support as me and the host I am with has done all that we can do and my host said we were running into an issue out side of their area and to contact the whmcs support.

I have posted threads in several forms and no one can help us with this but it is interesting that there are 2 of us with exact same issue and no one else has had it.

Ok this is not fixed yet.

here is how I am testing it may be this will help maybe it wont

I start out on my actual website http://www.buzzhostingservices.com

I select the plan I want it takes me to the order form php.

I fill out the test clients info there is no field for domain name to be enter here and submit the order.

the email address for the test client receives 3 emails a invoice a conformation and a welcome.

none of them contains any kind of link for cPanel no user name no password no IP address to use to get to the cPanel.

ok I go to the whmcs login to admin I see the new client account there needs to be activated I activate it still no cPanel info been sent to the test client.

I go to whm login check in the account list section there no account setup has been made.

SO I can only presume that it is not working I have not done any changes at all except for the above steps mentioned.

I mean I can just have my customers wait for me to get to a computer if I am not at one when they sign up so I can get them up and running but I dont think that will fly too long and I am sure I wont get the clients I am after either.

what was it you did when you to the whmcs was it a module or something ? and how did you check it did you check it by creating a client in the whmcs or go through my website?

BIG THANKS to Wayne from VC-Hosting for sorting this one out for me, especially as little help was coming back from WHMCS. I had multiple config problems and Wayne sorted them all out for me.

Thanks once again Wayne :D
